Filter Press Filtration Way
The way the filtrate flows out are current flow filtration and undercurrent filtration.
A. Current flow filtration: There is a water nozzle on the liquid outlet hole below each filter plate, and the filtrate flows out from the water nozzle.
B. Undercurrent filtration: There is a liquid outlet channel hole below each filter plate, and the liquid outlet holes of several filter plates are connected to form a liquid outlet channel, which is discharged from the pipeline connected with the liquid outlet holes below the thrust plate.
The liquid filtered by the open-flow filter press will inevitably be polluted or mixed with impurities in the harsh environment of the chamber plate filter press, so we need an under-flow filter press to better protect the liquid filtered by filter press. Therefore, open-flow filter presses can only be used in industries which require solids after filtration of solid-liquid mixtures, such as metallurgy, ore, etc., while under-flow filter presses are used in industries that require high filtered liquids, such as medicine , biology, etc. This is the difference between the open flow and the undercurrent of the filter press.
