How is membrane filter press work.
membrane filter press filtration chambers are formed by chamber filter plate and diaphragm filter plate. Diaphragm is the filter plate with a membrane cavity on both sides. The chamber filter plate and the diaphragm plate with the same shape are arranged at intervals to form a filter chamber of a certain volume.
After slurry filtration is finshed, a certain pressure of gas (liquid) is injected into the diaphragm cavity to make the diaphragm bulge and squeeze the filtered cakes to reduce its moisture.
When the membrane filter plates are feeded the compressed air or water, these inflatable diaphragms will bulge in the direction of the filter chamber to squeeze the filtered cakes after the first filtration finished.
After the filter press is equipped with the filtration process by the membrane filter plate, and the moisture of filtered cakes can be 10-40%, much lower than chamber filter plate, which saves great filtration costs.
The filter part is composed of filter plates, membrane plates and filter cloth arranged on the main beam.

Through the filter cloth, the solid stay in the filter chamber to form a filter cake, and the liquid is discharged from the water nozzle or the liquid outlet valve.
If a filter cake with a lower moisture content is needed, the squeezing of the diaphragm can make the filtered cakes moisture less and the filtration effect will be better.
