What is slurry piston pump?YB series ceramic piston pump have been studied for transporting thick slurry to the filter press or spray-driers. The ceramic plunger pump is formed by: two pistons, run by two hydraulic cylinders; suction and delivery valves which can be easily disassembled for rapid inspection or for cleaning the pump; an air accumulator; a control pressure gauge; a valve to adjust the working pressure at any value (within the fixed limits), and a safty valve(Referring to Map2). The pistons are coated with sintered alumina (This special coating guarantees long life and resistance to the high abrasive action of the liquids) and equipped with gaskets made of special wear resistant material with a low coefficient of friction. Slurry piston pump runs stable, and has low noise, high pressure, low pressure fluctuation, small size, light weight, convenient operation and maintain, installation, long life span and so on . Mud plunger pump is mainly applicable in transfer slurry to various kinds of spray-driers, also in long distance supplying slurry, clean(dirty) water and coal slurry (or other suspensions) to filter press. Presently, YB series oil pressure piston slurry pump has five model:YB85, YB120, YB140, YB200, YB250, YB-300, the flux is 3m³/h ～40m³/h, the pressure is 0-2.0Mpa.

For the oil tank is limited, the oil will overflow by one-time adding. Please do it by following steps: when the filter press is not under operation, first: add the elementary oil, then open the press, when closing, add the oil for the second time. For different models, the cylinder diameter, the stroke are different and the oil tank volume are also different, please noted.

Attentions During Filter Press Operation (Part 1) ●During machine trial operation, make sure the hydraulic oil is filled according to this manual. Otherwise the unfilled oil cylinder will cause abnormal operation of the hydraulic power unit, or even the damage to the hydraulic pump. ●Replace hydraulic oil regularly according to this manual and clean hydraulic valve and pump timely, or the normal working condition of the hydraulic power unit will be hindered.●Filtration pressure should not exceed the normal filtration pressure of the PP filter press, or it will cause breakage of the PP filter plates.●The “filtration pressure” on the label refers to the testing experiment pressure. During usage, due to the property of the material, the actual bearing filtration pressure may be lower than the “filtration pressure”. Users must do sufficient experiments, then confirm the parameters, NANXING is not responsible for the damage of the equipment and liability for loss caused by it.●Personnel without training for hydraulic filter press operation and system maintenance should not open the electrical control cabinet to connect the wires alone, or wrong connection of the wires may lead to error action of the filter press.●Shut off main electric power supply switch of the PP filter press during maintenance.●The remained filter cake on the sealing surface should be cleaned away before a new filtering cycle, otherwise, the side bars may distort, the filter plates break, and filtrate leak, all of which are not within the “Three Guarantees”.

 Filter Cloth Installation     The filter cloth may shrink or distorts when using due to change of temperatures, pressures and textile methods, influencing the filter press filter result. Due to the uneven quality of filter cloth on the market, it’s suggested to purchase filter cloth from the original supplier. If the user selects the filter cloth model independently or produces the filter cloth himself, which lead to un-installation of filter cloth or bad filter result or even no filter result, he himself takes the responsibility.How to Install Filter Cloth On Filter Plates 1. When installing the filter cloth bag, roll up one cloth sheet in direction cloth collar from two sides, fold up the two rolled up parts to the centre, pass them through the feeding hole of the filter plate, unroll them on the other side and bind the two cloth sheets together by means of bands. Attentions during installationThe filter cloth should be wrapped on the filter plate smoothly when binding.Take care to distinguish the filter cloth for recessed plate and membrane plate if membrane filter press model.3.  Attentions during use The withholding performance of filter cloth might get inclined due to blocking by the materials after a time of use. The user needs washing and regenerating them regularly. If the wash result is not satisfactory and the filter cloth becomes stiffen, it should be soaked (normally 24 hours) by low density light acid or light alkaline liquid to neutralize it and recover its performance. If still can not work well, the filter cloth should be changed to new ones.

The property and pattern of filter cloth will directly effect filtering result. So choosing filter cloth is a very important thing in the filter press work. Nowadays the filter cloth is made of synthetic fibers. According to materials there are polyester fiber, polyvinyl alcohol fiber, polypropylene fiber and polyamide fiber.
